Saudi Arabia has launched the official identity of its Northern Trail, a 1,200km tourism route connecting Riyadh to Jubbah in the Hail Region.
Launched by Tourism Minister Ahmed Al-Khateeb as part of Saudi Winter 2026, the route brings together destinations offering a mix of Saudi heritage, local culture and natural attractions.
Here are some of the places visitors can explore along the way.
Thadiq: Heritage And Nature
The route includes Thadiq, where visitors can explore traditional heritage villages, Ghamrah Tourist Village and the North Riyadh UNESCO Global Geopark.
Al Qassim: Farms And Local Culture
In Al Qassim, visitors can discover the region’s agricultural side, explore local farms and learn more about its history and traditions through cultural heritage sites.
Hail: Mountains And Desert Landscapes
Hail offers opportunities to explore the Aja Mountains, enjoy outdoor and desert experiences, and discover historic landmarks across the region.
Jubbah: Ancient Rock Carvings
The trail ends in Jubbah, home to Jabal Umm Sinman, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient rock carvings and inscriptions dating back thousands of years.
The Northern Trail’s new visual identity is inspired by Saudi heritage sites and traditional Najdi architecture. The initiative aims to connect these destinations and encourage more visitors to explore different parts of the Kingdom.
